ACTIVELY PROTECT INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
A voice for "We The People"
As your county commissioner, I will actively participate on the Health District Board and other county boards to support INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS for a FREE MARKET. ALL businesses are ESSENTIAL businesses. Why? The Washington state constitution clearly states in section 3 PERSONAL RIGHTS, “No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”
Primary Role of Government is Safety and Justice
FUND THE POLICE & REstore CIVIlity
As your county commissioner, I will work with the sheriff to set strategic goals, budgets, and practical measures to reduce crimes and secure public safety. We will work to have EQUAL JUSTICE under the law. Together we will move away from lawlessness to a culture of civility.
Freedom is not a privilege but a right entrusted to every person by God. The primary role of government is to provide safety and equal justice for all citizens. Spokane is rated 95.3 for property crime, and the US average is 35.4. This is unacceptable! I will work with the sheriff and prosecutor to reduce crime.
REDUCE OVERREGULATION!
VERY IMPORTANT!
As your county commissioner, I will work to reduce overregulation that is driving up the cost of new homes. The next generation should have the opportunity to purchase an affordable home. Ensuring property ownership and PROPERTY RIGHTS for Spokane county citizens is critical to a vibrant community. 24% regulation costs/fees on a new home are too high (about $93k per new home) (source: Special study for housing economics May 5, 2021)
A vote for Noble is a vote for freedom
Free Markets & Free speech
I believe every individual should have the freedom to think, speak, assemble, worship, and disagree without fear of government interference or penalty.
I believe Free Markets empower individuals by creating both new opportunities and innovation. Free Markets allow growth to the individual and to the economy as a whole.
“If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.” – George Washington
A vote for Noble is a vote for A Commissioner who will Listen
CORE PRINCIPLE: I believe every individual should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
The Spokane County Board of Commissioners is responsible for providing legislative and administrative services to Spokane County. The purpose of this department is to identify and clarify the needs of the people, and ensure the county responds to those needs. The Board executes all legislative power authorized. These powers include, but are not limited to, adopting and enacting the budget, appropriation of expenditures and setting policy. Other powers are establishing fees and comprehensive use plans and conducting public hearings and meetings. (Source: https://www.spokanecounty.org/1123/County-Commissioners emphasis added)
A vote for Noble is a vote for courage-based leadership
Silence is deadly
I believe in speaking the truth that is clear and using compassion that is palatable. As a leader, I think silence is killing our county. It is not correct when county leaders remain silent during meetings when citizens' freedoms are being trampled on. I am a leader who is not afraid to say something that is unpopular. I am not afraid to do what is right.
Brian's Rules to Communication
Communication that is clear does not make it rude
The best gift you can give to someone when communicating is clarity
Speak the truth in compassion
Speak the truth with kindness
A vote for Noble is a vote for principle-based leadership
Principles Vs. EmotionS
Having a firm set of core values (principles) is critical to every individual. Here are a few of my leadership core values.
Listen, decide, and lead.
No favoritism or partiality
Treat others with excellence.
Work hard
Negotiate in good faith
Know the difference between personal preference and absolutes
Listen to both sides before making a judgment.
Talk with everyone, even the people with whom you do not see eye to eye.
Just because someone says it loudly doesn't make it right
Don't be afraid to say something loudly - be passionate.
Principle #1: WIth every individual right comes Indvidual Responsibility
Rights start at Conception
Individual human rights come from our Creator and not from the government. I recognize the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness from conception to death. It is our responsibility to protect the rights of all individuals, even the rights of those with whom we disagree.
Principle #2: Rules matter... It is important to know them
Government OF the people BY the people and FOR the people
Washington State Constitution
Every citizen must have a basic understanding of the Washington State Constitution - Take the time to download and read it. Commissioners are here to protect and maintain the individual rights of the people.
PREAMBLE We, the people of the State of Washington, grateful to the Supreme Ruler of the universe for our liberties, do ordain this constitution.
ARTICLE I
DECLARATION OF RIGHTS
SECTION 1 POLITICAL POWER. All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights.
SECTION 2 SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND. The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land.
SECTION 3 PERSONAL RIGHTS. No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.
Principle #3: Personal ownership of Private Property
creates Higher Personal Responsibility for OUR COMMUNITIES
creates Higher Personal Responsibility for OUR COMMUNITIES
WE value the things WE work for
I believe it is the right of all citizens to legally acquire, own, use, and dispose of private property. It is their right to protect their property with reasonable force against another person who is threatening to infringe upon their property.
Principle #4: Transparency and consistency are foundational qualities
Be the same person no matter what - it is much easier
I believe that government is best when it governs the least and is 100% transparent. Big government infringes upon the rights of the citizens, and is prohibitive, inefficient, and extremely expensive. County Commissioners have the legal and moral responsibility to reveal all conflicts of interest.
